RACE DIARY FOR CYCLE SPORT
I was commissioned by UK magazine Cycle Sport to produce an eight-page race diary for the 2012 Tour Down Under complete with pictures, funny anecdotes and insider knowledge. I spent three of the six stages of the Australian World Tour race riding in the team cars of Astana, Katusha and Vacansoleil-DCM, plus went up in one of the official race helicopters during the final stage above the Adelaide street circuit.
OTHER RACE COMMISSIONS
I wrote a daily opinion piece on the race for the Australian sports website The Roar. Here are the links to the articles:
Stage 1: Andre Greipel a giant in Tour Down Under win
Stage 2: Outsider Clarke embarrasses complacent TDU peloton
Stage 3: Is the Tour Down Under too easy?
Stage 4: Wear and tear no scare for Freire
Stage 5: Valverde back with a bang
Stage 6: Overall win, but is GreenEDGE looking a little blunt?
On top of that, I filed two Blazin' Saddles blogs for Eurosport:
